As a produce distributor in South East Florida, Excellent Fruit & Produce, Inc. (d/b/a EFAP), generates revenue in four distinctive Business Units that are determined by the operational side of the business.  These are: Food Service, Government, Exports, and Residential/Office Delivery.

The Food Service Unit represents the majority of our business.  It encompasses the operation required to make next-day deliveries to restaurants, hospitals, country clubs, hotels and boats.  Our goal is to deliver good quality produce promptly anywhere there is a commercial kitchen in South East Florida.  Orders are placed by our customers by midnight and we will deliver them the next morning.  We operate six days a week all year long serving about 160 customers.  We function on a base fleet of three refrigerated trucks and a van which frequently reacts to changes in demand by renting vehicles from truck companies.

The Government Business Unit is directed on contracting with different government institutions and agencies at a Local, State and Federal levels.  We hold all licenses and insurances required to contract with the government and are constantly bidding for different opportunities.  Depending on how many contracts we hold in any given time, this business unit sometimes represents higher revenues than the Food Service Unit.

Currently, the Exports Unit is focusing on exporting produce to different cruise ships that dock on different ports in Central America.  While cruise ships can load all of its non-perishable food in the port of departure, perishable items is something they cannot.  We fulfill that need mid-way of their journey by flying produce loads to Central America.  We are constantly on the look-out for different types of reliable partners with whom we can develop new business opportunities abroad.

The Residential/Office Unit consists in making next-day deliveries to smaller customers in a smaller geographical area than that covered by our Food Service Operation.  The focus of this business unit is to deliver produce to homes, offices and yachts located primarily in Miami Beach and other selected zip codes.  Residential/Office customers will create an account in our website and use their credit card to place an order by browsing the shopping cart at www.e-fap.com.
